The Stainless Steel Groundbreaker Spade Shovel from Burgon & Ball® features a D-grip handle and mirror-polished tool head for less soil resistance. Crafted with FSC-certified hardwood, this classic and hardworking spade shovel is ideal for digging in tough terrain, such as hard or stony soil. The double-gauge strapped socket is also double riveted to the shaft for extra durability. Rigorously tested, our stainless steel long-handled tools outperform British Standard load tests by more than 50%, and this spade shovel can take a load of over 198 lbs. without permanent deformation.
